It’s been a busy year for Teesside Park - with adventure parks, gyms, and brands from the fashion world all opening the doors for the first time.
The complex continues to be a staple for shoppers across Teesside, with this year seeing the likes of Primark, White Stuff, PureGym and Ninja Warrior set up shop.
But the park shows no signs of slowing down - with even more big names in the pipeline.
Visible construction work has been continuing at the site over the last few months, with covered walkways destroyed as units prepare to be revamped with the new modern glass front.
As we prepare to head into the Christmas shopping season - where the park will undoubtedly be full of shoppers and festive cheer - we’ve rounded up everything that we know is still set to open at Teesside Park.
Mango
Fashion retailer Mango is set to open in a section of the former H&M, with the rest of the former store now occupied by beauty brand Rituals and fashion chain White Stuff.
The Spanish retailer’s upcoming Teesside Park store was first teased after plans were lodged for a new sign with the brand’s logo, and then later confirmed.
The unit has remained vacant since H&M closed in June 2022, and was initially set to be taken over by Frasers Group’s Tessuti chain - although this never came to fruition.
Last month, Mango erected new signs on the storefront, saying: “Get ready, Mediterranean style and culture will arrive soon at Teesside Park."
As previously reported, "architectural integration and sustainability" will be key in the design of the new store, which will be set up as a Mediterranean home with different rooms.
An exact opening date is not yet known - although it is expected to be later this year.
New Sports Direct
Works have been continuing on a huge new unit at Teesside Park for several months that will soon become Sports Direct’s new home at the complex.
Frasers Group - which owns the sporting chain - announced last year that the sportswear firm would be expanding into a new 40,000sq ft space, featuring a GAME and Evans Cycles.
Earlier this month, The Northern Echo reported how the future Sports Direct store, made up of the former Laura Ashley, Argos, USC, and MenKind stores, had been transformed with a new glass front, akin to other stores around the park.
New signs have since been erected around the unit, teasing it would be “opening soon”.
An official opening date is not yet known - although the store was initially earmarked to open in late 2024 or early 2025.
Flannels
Meanwhile, designer chain Flannels, which also falls under the Frasers Group umbrella, is set to take over the current Sports Direct store.
The firm - which sells designer brands such as Stone Island, Boss, Gucci, Vivienne Westwood, and Polo Ralph Lauren - will soon be transforming the 20,000-square-foot unit.
It is not currently known when the current sports store will close, although this shop remains open as normal and it will therefore be looking at a launch sometime in 2025.
B&M Garden Centre
Last November, discount retailer B&M opened its new 34,686 sqft store in the former Toys R Us, which had been closed for several years.

When the new store was announced, the chain confirmed a garden centre would soon open also, with signs on the front saying it would be launching in spring or summer 2024.
However, as of November, no update has been provided on the garden centre, and it is not currently known when it will open.
The Northern Echo has contacted B&M for more information on this.
