The former home of a Darlington doughnut shop - once praised for serving up little “circles of joy” - has hit the market.
17 High Row - the home of Harry's Handcrafted Doughnuts store - has been put up for let with a price tag of £8,500 per year plus VAT.
The 1,859 square foot retail premises - located beside the Deli-cious independent cafe - boasts three floors, with a new lease being available and the number of years yet to be agreed.
The lease is available drawn on standard full repairing and insuring terms, with each party responsible for their own legal costs.
Harry's Handcrafted Doughnuts first opened the store on High Row in January 2022, with sweet-toothed Darlington residents quickly falling in love with the “lovely hidden gem”.
The business announced it would be stopping sales in October 2023, citing a rise in ingredient costs, staffing costs, and electric bills, and instead rebranded to simply Harry’s.
The firm then began offering up sandwiches and loaded croissants as part of its new approach - before bringing back a small number of doughnuts in store by December.
The business has not posted online since March this year - and The Northern Echo has contacted the firm regarding the listing.
The let brochure online states: “Town centre retail premises incorporating glazed window frontage affording accommodation over three floors.
