Plans to almost double the size of the new Bishop Auckland retail park have been revealed.
Work on the first part of the complex finished earlier this year with brands including Popeyes, Home Bargains and Pure Gym having moved in since.
Now developers plan to add another three retail units, a petrol station, and more car parking as part of a further multimillion-pound project.
Computer-generated images show how the new units will look, in keeping with the design of phase one.

It is thought the project could bring a further 300 jobs to theA Prestige Properties spokesperson said: “The Phase 2 scheme will deliver three additional retail warehouse units with a total floor area of approximately 8,000 sq.m, as well as a new petrol filling station.
“The proposals represent a further multi-million-pound investment in the local area and, once complete, will generate in the region of 300 jobs across a range of roles building on the undoubted success of Phase 1 by accommodating further national retailers not currently represented in the town, meaning residents will no longer have to travel elsewhere to visit such outlets.”

A public consultation event is set to take place on Friday, November 15 between 2pm and 7pm at Bishop Auckland Football Club, while locals can also comment on the plans online.
Dessert restaurant Kaspas will open at the retail park later this month and follows in the footsteps of national brands including TUI and The Range.
Restaurants The Bake Bishop and Little Sicily are also expected to open before the new year.
