A Met Office spokesperson said: "Overcast cloud is set to continue for another day, perhaps the odd cloud break in the far northwest of the region by the mid to late afternoon.
"Staying largely dry aside for patchy drizzle on south-easterly slopes. Gentle winds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
"Low cloud will persist overnight, with an increased chance of drizzle moving in from the coast during the early hours."
