A driver has been caught red-handed by police doing nearly 100mph on the A1(M).
During routine patrols from North Yorkshire Police, officers spotted the driver travelling over 90mph on the A-road near Leeming.
The driver was reported and dealt with via a Traffic Offence Report, with police warning that criminal activity, speeding or otherwise, will be dealt with in the strongest possible terms.
Superintendent Andrew Berriman from North Yorkshire Police's Specialist Operations Unit, said: “We work with other teams within the force to understand the priorities and concerns of local people then strategically deploy to deter criminal activity, make arrests and keep communities in North Yorkshire safe.

This incident was part of several dealt with by the police force on Tuesday (November 5), which included two vehicles that were seen in suspicious circumstances near Stokesley, one of them was a Land Rover which made off down a farm track.
In another incident, a member of the public contacted the North Yorkshire force control room to report a possible burglary in progress in Langthorpe near Boroughbridge.
