Due to roadworks, drivers could face diversions of up to 50 miles across the Yorkshire Dales.
Until November 15, motorists travelling towards Hawes and the surrounding areas may be forced to take an alternative route across other parts of the Dales and towards Cumbria.
This is due to Old Widdale Head To Hawes Road, Hawes being closed by contractors in order to carry out emergency repairs at Long Gill East Bridge.
The work includes essential arch repairs on the bridge, which involves taking down the downstream parapet to the arch ring and rebuilding the same one.
The road will also be resurfaced during the works.
Drivers facing 50-mile North Yorkshire diversion in Hawes:

The closure will be in place 24 hours a day until November 15.
As a result of this work, drivers wanting to use the bridge or stretch of road nearby will be diverted on a 50-mile diversion route, which will add an extra hour to the journey.
