A North East BBC presenter was interrupted live on air by a member of a boyband in an on-air 'gaffe'.
Terry Coldwell, one of the founding members of East 17, interrupted his own interview with BBC presenter Gilly Hope on Wednesday, October 30.
The amusing incident occurred during an afternoon show interview on BBC Radio Newcastle and Tees presented by local radio stalwart Gilly Hope.
Hope later shared the moment on social media, saying: "I just want to share with you what happened [during the interview], because even pop stars have chaos at half term."
Terry, who was in the middle of a discussion about the 30th anniversary of East 17's Christmas hit Stay Another Day, was distracted by family matters.
He can be heard on air saying: "Sorry, one second I need to answer the door, sorry we’ve just had swimming lessons all week.
"You’ve put your eyes in the water, well done. Everyone go into the front room, I’ll put Minecraft on."

Gilly then erupted into laughter and said it was no problem, adding "even rock and roll stars have chaos at home".
Terry Coldwell is known for his role in the boyband East 17, famous for their hit Stay Another Day.
Released in November 1994, the song quickly became a Christmas hit racing to the festive number one spot and earning the boyband their first and only UK number one single beating Mariah Carey's instant classic 'All I Want for Christmas is You'.
