A woman has been charged with drink driving, driving with no insurance, and child neglect after a car ploughed into a County Durham shop.
Gemma Trevail, 41, is set to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court next Monday (November 11) after being charged with a string of offences.
They include driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving with no insurance, criminal damage, and two counts of child neglect.
It follows an incident on Friday (November 1) where a Suzuki crashed into the front of the Wingate Mini Market - Go Local Extra in Wingate.
As previously reported, officers were called to the North Road store shortly after 9.10am, with images showing how a car had been left on its side in the middle of the street, which was being blocked off by two police cars.
