A man, 54, has been taken to hospital after suffering a "medical episode" in a car earlier today.
Emergency services were called to Redcar Lane, Redcar just after 3pm today (November 3) following a call of concern about a man in a car.
Police and ambulance service attended the scene and the man, aged 54, was swiftly taken to hospital.
A Cleveland Police statement reads: "At 3.15pm on Sunday 3 November police were called to reports of concern for the safety of a man travelling in a vehicle on Redcar Lane in Redcar.
"The man, aged 54, is believed to have suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a medical incident on Redcar Lane, Redcar just after 3.15 this afternoon.
"We dispatched a specialist paramedic, a clinical team leader and two double crewed ambulances."
