A man was taken to hospital following a house fire early this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident in Rowan Road, Stockton, at about 4am on Sunday.
Officers paramedics and firefighters attended the scene, where a man was treated before being taken to hospital.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "At 4am on Sunday 3 November police were called to Rowan Road in Stockton following reports of a house fire and concerns for a man inside the property.
"Officers, paramedics and firefighters attended to the house and a man was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance."
A spokesperson for the Cleveland Fire Brigade said: "We were called to Rowan Road, Stockton, at 4.05 this morning.
"Three fire engines attended the scene. We assisted the police in making the premises safe."

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a house fire on Rowland Road, Stockton, at 4:10am this morning.
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and a clinical team leader. One patient was taken to North Tees Hospital."
