Residents have reacted with both good humour and confusion after a pharmacy erected an incorrectly labelled sign above its official street name.
New signs have gone up for Denmark Street Pharmacy in Darlington - or is it Denmark Road pharmacy? That's according to a sign that was put up this week, incorrectly naming its location.
A photo posted online by one eagle-eyed resident of the debacle has sparked both laughter and uproar as he stated workers "had one job" after placing the incorrect sign inches below the correct one.
Hundreds of other bemused residents have flocked to the comments to express their feelings regarding the sign for the pharmacy which is operated by Rowlands.
Online, the pharmacy is listed as being on Denmark Street yet the incorrect road name was used for the sign.
One resident said "If only there was a clue", and another added "It’s annoying me even more that the Road doesn’t even have a capital letter."

A woman added: "I was watching it go up howling and couldn’t help myself I told him it was wrong."
Others simply reacted in amusement laughing at the mishap - as the reason for the mix up as well as when it will be corrected remain unknown.
