A person was taken to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a house on the outskirts of Darlington last night, knocking a huge hole out of a wall.
Emergency services were alerted to the collision in Stockton Road, Great Burdon, shortly before 8.45pm on Friday night.
Police and ambulance service attended the incident, where a person was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
The road was closed in both directions, while the scene was cleared.
The part of the house that was damaged has been fenced off.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Stockton Road, Great Burdon, Darlington, shortly before 8.45 last night (Friday 1 November).
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and a duty officer. One patient was taken to James Cook Hospital."
