A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after reports of an attack at the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesbrough.
Emergency services were alerted to an incident at the hotel on Albert Road, Middlesbrough, at 8.45pm on Friday (November 1).
A man, who had injuries to his face, was treated at the scene, before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
A police cordon remains outside the Holiday Inn Express today (Saturday).
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "At 8.45pm on Friday 1 November police were called to the Holiday Inn Express on Albert Road in Middlesbrough following reports of concern for a man with injuries to his face that is believed to have been caused by an assault.
"He was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance and is in a serious but stable condition.
"A scene is currently in place while enquiries are ongoing."

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident at the Holiday Inn Express, Albert Road, Middlesbrough shortly after 8.45 last night (Friday 1 November).
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to James Cook Hospital."
"Anyone who has information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference number 24210011."
