A man has been arrested in connection with nine separate offences, including a suspected theft in Wensleydale after police officers tracked his car down the A1 in County Durham.
On Friday (November 1), North Yorkshire Police officers on burglary patrols along the County Durham border received information that a vehicle, believed to be linked to the theft of the tractor from Wensleydale the previous day, was travelling in the area again.
The vehicle was traced to the northbound carriageway of the A1, with police being helped by a member of the public who reported seeing a livestock trailer being towed in the middle of the night, and thought it unusual.
Police stopped a Nissan pickup and trailer on the A1 over the County Durham border.
