Two people have been taken to hospital after a car "ploughed" into a County Durham shop.
Emergency services were called to North Road East, in Wingate, on Friday (November 1) after a vehicle was left on its side following a crash around 9am.
An image from the scene showed how the vehicle in the centre of the road, beside the damaged shopfront of the Wingate Mini Market - Go Local Extra.
Two police cars were pictured at the scene blocking off the road, alongside a recovery vehicle.
The North East Ambulance Service has confirmed that it sent one ambulance crew to the scene, and has taken two people to the University Hospital of North Durham.
Their current condition is not known.

A NEAS spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision today (1 November) on Westgate Road West in Wingate shortly after 9am.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and one duty officer. Two patients were taken to University Hospital of North Durham."
