A dispersal order has been placed to prevent people from gathering - after Halloween night saw youths lobbing fireworks at passersby.
The order is in the Bishop Cuthbert area of Hartlepool, after Cleveland Police had reports of "large numbers of youths" gathering and throwing fireworks.
A spokesperson for the force said: "The dispersal order, which will last 48 hours – the maximum length of time that the legislation allows, was put in place last night (Thursday, October 31) and gives officers the powers to disperse those believed to be involved in antisocial behaviour from the designated area immediately.

"Should they return to the location within the 48 hours, they could be arrested.
"The dispersal zone is shown within the boundaries in the map below.
"Anyone wishing to report antisocial behaviour can do so via 101 or report online: https://orlo.uk/wJFwt. Always call 999 in an emergency."
