The countdown is on as PureGym prepares to open its first Teesside gym - with just hours to go until fitness fanatics can get their blood pumping.
The national operator will open the doors to its new 15,000-square-foot fitness facility in the former Millennium nightclub TOMORROW (November 1).
The gym chain has spent months renovating the former late-night venue, with pictures taken earlier this year showing the site being gutted by construction crews.
Now, latest pictures from the site ahead of the opening show how the PureGym signage has been erected - and the once-closed entrance to the Millennium is now made up of a tall glass window welcoming gym goers inside.
PureGym previously confirmed that the gym, located beside the new Ninja Warrior adventure park, would be open 24/7, and feature hundreds of pieces of state-of-the-art equipment.
It will also include a functional zone, free weights area, fixed resistance, cardio equipment, a fitness studio and a cycle studio, as well as a huge range of classes.
Certified PTs will also be available to support clients and a free initial exercise induction.
As previously reported, PureGym was confirmed to be opening up earlier this year, months after it was revealed that a gym operator was in talks to take over the unit.
The space has remained empty for several years.
The new gym will boast low-cost, zero-contract memberships, providing members with access to "nonstop flexible, affordable fitness facilities".
A spokesperson previously said: “Following strong demand for PureGym’s flexible and affordable fitness offering in the region, we are thrilled to be expanding our presence and opening our third gym in the area at Teesside Park!
