Beer lovers will be pumped to discover that a top North East brewery is to launch tasting tours.

Anarchy Brewery in Heaton, Newcastle, has earned a growing reputation among drinkers for its range of beers, which are sold online and at pubs and clubs across Tyneside.

And now those keen to learn more about their favourite brew can enjoy a guided tour of the brewery, learn about its history and find out more about the brewing process.

They will also be given a sample of one of Anarchy’s ales at the start of the tour, with the chance to sample a wider selection in the taproom at the end.

The taproom will also stay open until 11pm for those who want to extend their visit and food purchased from nearby street food vendors can also be eaten there.

Anarchy brews a variety of beers, with its collaboration beer Wor Beer - an easy drinking pale ale, with a light body and subtle notes of citra - one of the most popular and available at bars and pubs across the North East, including at St James’ STACK.

And, in a nod to the world famous Newcastle Brown Ale – now brewed in Yorkshire and the Netherlands - the brewery has created Boot Boys, meaning once again fans can enjoy a “proper brown ale brewed in the toon.”

The first 90-minute tour will take place on Saturday 2 November at 3pm and Scott Nendick, Taproom Manager at Anarchy Brewery, said “we’re really looking forward to showing people around.

“Our taproom is open to the public every Friday and Saturday from midday until 11pm and the atmosphere is fantastic.

“So, anyone who comes on the tour will have a great time sampling the beers and then enjoying the craic with the rest of our customers.”

There are only 14 places on the tour and tickets, which cost £20pp are available here
