Pictures show the moment a lorry flipped on its side on a busy Hartlepool roundabout on Wednesday morning.
The lorry, carrying wooden posts, fell onto its side on shortly after 9.30am on the Owton Manor Lodge roundabout between the A689 and Owton Manor Lane.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene as the motorists tried to make their way past the HGV.
One person was taken to hospital and recovery efforts have been launched.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.30am this morning (October 30) to reports of a road traffic incident on Seaton Lane in Hartlepool.
“We dispatched two ambulance crews and took one patient to the University Hospital of North Tees for further treatment."
Cleveland Police has been contacted for comment.
