Two people were taken to hospital after a car crash closed the A174 at rush hour yesterday evening (October 29).
A collision on the A174 Westbound through the Ormesby area of Middlesbrough c,osed the road from A1053 Greystone Road (Greystones Roundabout) to A171 Ormesby Bank.
One lane of the carriageway was also closed eastbound by officers from Cleveland Police.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision yesterday (29 October) shortly after 4pm on A174 in Middlesbrough.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and one clinical team leader. Two patients were taken to James Cook hospital."
At the time, a spokesperson for the force said: "Officers closed the A174 westbound in Middlesbrough due to a road traffic collision.

"The road was closed from the Greystones roundabout to the Marton interchange."
Last night, National Highways added: "The A174 in North Yorkshire is closed westbound between the A1053 Greystones Roundabout and the A171 Ormesby near Middlesbrough due to a collision.
"Lane two (of two) is also closed on the eastbound carriageway. Cleveland Police and recovery services are in attendance."
