There are a whole host of Christmassy events going on across the region - here's a list of a few coming in the future.
It's finally November - meaning it's time to get into the festive spirit and what better way to do that than going to events across the region.
There are plenty to choose from including ice sculpture trails, light switch ons and more to mark the festive season with glee.
We've rounded up just a few of the events happening around County Durham and Darlington this year - take a look.
Darlington's Christmas Lights Switch On
The Market Square in Darlington will be down with the festive spirit on November 17 from 4pm for the annual Christmas light switch-on.
Steve and Karen from the Hits Radio Breakfast Show will be hosting the big night which is guaranteed to be fun for all the family.
Darlington Ice Sculpture Trail
From December 9 you can take a walk to the DL1 Feethams complex to spot a whole host of unique and intricate sculptures.
The listing says: "You can create magical memories with family and friends in your own winter wonderland as you share a snowy photo opportunity within our giant inflatable globe, or by taking a seat together in Santa’s sleigh!"
Bishop Auckland Christmas Town
Bishop Auckland's Christmas Town will be back for a second year offering families the chance to eat tasty food, browse dozens of stalls and even meet Santa Claus.
Last year the town attracted 35,000 visitors - and will be kicking off once again on November 29.
Christmas At The Palace, Bishop Auckland
Auckland Palace will be open for the festive season - and includes 12 rooms decorated and themed for Christmas.
An 8th-century Neapolitan Nativity will also be on display in the Faith Museum from 15 November.
Spennymoor Christmas Market
A winter wonderland with local vendors will land in Spennymoor with a Christmas market on Saturday, December 14.
Residents can expect fresh produce from local vendors and entertainment.
AGLOW Christmas Light Trail
AGLOW at Auckland Palace is back - and takes visitors through 22 glittering installations that set the picturesque parkland alight and are designed to impress visitors of all ages.
Features returning for 2024 include everybody’s favourite and romantic ‘Tunnel of Light’ which is the longest outdoor light tunnel in the country measuring over 100 metres.
It will be back from November 22.
