An outdoor clothing and equipment brand is set to open a new store at a County Durham retail park.
New signs have been erected for Mountain Warehouse at Tindale Retail Park, in Bishop Auckland, in the former Home Bargains store.
The chain - which is the UK's largest specialist outdoor retailer - has several shops across the region, including at Dalton Park and Durham Retail Park.
The firm, which first started in 1997 and has stores in the likes of the United States, Canada, and New Zealand, is known for selling a range of outdoor clothing and equipment for all the family, including active-wear, tents, backpacks, and walking accessories.
It also sells specific clothing for different activities, including an extensive ski range and clothing for rock climbing, water sports, beach activities, and cycling.
An opening date for the new store - which will be located next to Tk Maxx - is not yet known, with the chain yet to speak out officially on the new site.
The news of the store moving in has been met with a wave of positivity online, after an image of the new sign was posted in a Facebook group.
One person said: “Great to see this store in Bishop, you normally have to travel.”
Others described it as a “great addition” and said it would “be handy” to have in Bishop.
It comes just months after job adverts went out for an assistant store manager at the site, where bosses were looking for “passionate and driven people” to join the team.
Tindale Retail Park is currently home to a string of major retailers, including Next, JD Sports, Boots, Poundland, Pets at Home, Superdrug, and Marks and Spencer Food.

As previously reported, discount retailer Home Bargains previously made the move from Tindale Retail Park to the new Bishop Auckland Retail Park, opening its new store in late June.
The Tindale Retail Park store has remained empty ever since.
It followed several other chains to open at the new site, including Popeyes and Greggs. TUI, Home Bargains, and The Range have also all opened there in recent months.
