A man from Middlesbrough had to be rescued from a hillside in Wales last Friday evening.
A report came into the Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team at 6.30pm that a walker had got into distress.
The team was deployed to the 'plane spotters' car park at the top of the Tal y Llyn pass and headed up the hillside to the casualties location.
Walkers often visit the 'Mach Loop' to watch low-flying aircraft in the area.
A spokesperson described how the ground was "tricky" and as the light faded they called for backup.
They said: "The team were called to assist a walker who had found themselves on tricky terrain on the hillside opposite Mynydd Moel.

"With diminishing light, the casualty made the right choice to stay put and call for help rather than continue and risk injury.
"It’s reasonably tricky ground up there and with light fading they chose to call for assistance to prevent further issue by continuing down the hill.
"They were met by team members, checked over by our remote rescue medical technicians and escorted safely back down to the car park."
