A North East popstar is set to take to the CBeebies sofa in one of the channel's most popular series.
Perrie Edwards, from South Shields, will read her first bedtime story for BBC's children's channel on Friday, November 1.
The former Little Mix singer will be reading The Shape of My Heart by Mark Sperring and Alys Paterson, a story exploring the shapes we see in the world around us.
Perrie will read the story from the CBeebies Bedtime Story chair while wearing pink pyjamas.
She said: "I love watching CBeebies Bedtime Story with my little one, so it was very special to be invited to read one myself.
"I hope people have as much fun watching as I did reading."
This is the first of two stories Perrie has recorded for CBeebies, with details of her second story yet to be revealed.
Perrie’s story will air at 6.50pm on Friday, November 1, on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
