One person was taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash in a North East village early this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the collision on Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe, shortly after 1am on Sunday morning.
Ambulance crews, the fire brigade and police were in attendance.
Paramedics treated on person at the scene while a second person was taken to hospital for further treatment.
The road was closed for a period of time while the vehicles were removed and police carried out investigations
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a three-vehicle road traffic collision on Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe just after 1:10 this morning.
"We dispatched a double-crewed ambulance, a clinical team leader and a specialist paramedic.
"One patient was treated and discharged at the scene and a second was taken to North Tees Hospital."
