Today we name five motorists who were named and fined in court for driving without third party insurance in Darlington and County Durham. 

Their cases were heard in Peterlee Magistrates' Court. 

Sophia Atkinson, 25, of Whitworth Meadow, Spennymoor used a Range Rover vehicle on a road without third party insurance on the A689 between Bradbury and Rushyford on March 7.

She pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £258. Driving record endorsed with 6 points.

Malgorzata Hubar, 30, of Barningham Street, Darlington, used a Vauxhall on Lucknow Street, Darlington, without third party insurance on March 29. 

The case was found proved and she was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014. Driving record endorsed with 6 points.

Helen Doran, 36, of Stratton Street, Spennymoor, used a Citroen C3 without third-party insurance on King Street, Spennymoor, on June 11. 

She pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £259. Driving record endorsed with 6 points. She also pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and not having a test certificate. There were no separate penalties. 

Lewis Harry Brogden, 24, of Kipling Road, Hartlepool, was using a Ford Connect without third-party insurance at Station Road, Station Town, on April 28. 

The case was found proved and he was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £1,014. Driving record endorsed with 6 points. 

Jonathan Dixon, 29, of Park Terrace, Castleside, Consett, used a Honda CRV on the A692 Consett without third-party insurance on June 7. 

He pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine and costs of £706. Driving record endorsed with 6 points.
