eBay: Alexander Isak trading card selling for £1,200

Described as a "rare find for collectors", the listing says the card - manufactured by trading card giants Panini - is a unique one-of-one design.

eBay seller premiercollectsuk says the card has a "unique parallel/variety aspect, which in this case is black" making it the only instance of that trading card with that specific design in the world.

Currently, the site lists the card as having interest, with one eBay user having the item in their online basket, indicating it may be selling soon.

The Swedish goal scorer arrived at Newcastle United in 2022 for a club record fee after making the move from Spanish club Real Sociedad and quickly became a fan favourite on Tyneside. 

This was cemented in early 2024 when Isak scored in the Wear-Tyne derby against Sunderland in the FA Cup.

(Image: Richard Sellers) However, the listing is not the most expensive football trading card sale by a long way. That accolade belongs to a 1958 collectable of Brazilian legend Pele, who is regarded as one of the best to have ever played the game.

A trading card featuring his 'rookie' season sold in 2021 for $372,000 (£287,000).

Isak's card is also not the most expensive Panini trading card listed on eBay at the moment either. We found an American basketball card featuring NBA player Zion Williamson, who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans, which has his signature on the card front. 

This has been listed on eBay for a whopping £19,302 by an Australian seller.
