Shipping containers have arrived on the site of the latest Stack venue in Middlesbrough, with bosses saying it is on track to open within weeks.
Twenty-five of the containers which give Stack its name were winched into place at the new Teesside site, under the A66, as work progresses.
Photos show them being brought onto site by contractors, giving the first glimpse as to how the venue will look under the flyover, at Exchange Square.
Once built it is hoped the site will replicate the success of its Newcastle and Seaburn sister venues.
And bosses say the venue, which will house five street food vendors, three bars, a central plaza with seating and a stage for live entertainment, is on track to open in early December.
“We are confident STACK will be a huge asset to Middlesbrough and add a positive and additional dimension to the local leisure scene,” Stack CEO Neil Winch said.
“There was a lot of additional work and infrastructure to put in place which hadn’t been originally anticipated but we are grateful to the council and combined authority who have carried out the works to allow us to use this site.
“Whilst there has been a delay we’re sure everyone will agree that it was worth the wait when we open.”

The venue will also create 50 new jobs once fully open. It comes after the latest Stack venue at Newcastle’s St James’ Park has proved a hit with locals packing it out on evenings and matchdays.
The project had drawn some criticism for delays, after being announced in 2022, with bridge works pushing back opening.
Middlesbrough Mayor, Chris Cooke said last month: “It’s great news that work is starting on the Stack site. Stack will be a great addition to Middlesbrough and will complement the many brilliant independent businesses in our town centre.”
