A North East bus company is offering free travel for children over October half-term as it introduces spooky rides to mark Halloween.
Go North East bus drivers will get into the Halloween spirit by swapping their uniforms for spooky costumes and decorating six buses.
These specially decorated Halloween buses will be easy to spot and can be tracked via the Go North East app. On October 31, the company's bus drivers will be dressed in their favourite costumes to drive the buses.
Lorraine Petch, a bus driver from Go North East’s Deptford depot, said: "Wearing fancy dress is a great opportunity for us to join in the fun and put a smile on our passengers’ faces."

With the Halloween festivities coinciding with the school holidays, families will be able to take advantage of Go North East’s 'Kids Go Free' deal, which allows children to travel for free if travelling with an adult.
Ben Maxfield, business director at Go North East, said: "This spooky celebration aligns perfectly with our ‘Kids Go Free’ offer, which runs from October 26 to November 3, allowing up to three children aged 11 and under to travel for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket."
