Three people, including a wanted man, have been arrested after armed police surrounded a property and CSI attended the house in Hardwick on Thursday (October 24). 

Armed police, dog units and at least 12 police vehicles were seen on Tithe Barn Road in Hardwick, Stockton at around 8.45am, after reports of a wanted man on the run. 

Images at the scene showed armed police at the front and back of the property, while officers could reportedly be heard shouting to the people inside the house to "Come out of the property now".

During the incident, Tithe Barn Road was closed off to drivers and pedestrians.

Armed police left the scene at around 11am, while a small police presence remains at the scene to investigate the incident.

On Thursday afternoon, CSI teams were also at the scene of the incident, with searches conducted in the front garden of the house.

Cleveland Police has confirmed that the armed police were there in connection to a 20-year-old man, who was wanted in connection with an assault.

The police force said that the man was located and detained at a house on Tithe Barn Road.

A 17-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man were also both arrested at the scene on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three were transported to custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police added: "Officers, including Cleveland Police’s armed response, attended to the property at around 8.45am on Thursday, October 24 as part of their enquiries.

"Officers will continue to patrol the area to provide reassurance to the local community while searches of the property are ongoing.

"Any residents with concerns are asked to speak to a local officer.

The nature of CSI's involvement at the scene is not yet known.
