Emergency services closed the busy Ormesby Bank for two hours after a crash involving two cars.

Emergency services were called to Orchard Way, onto the junction of Ormesby Bank at around 11am today, October 22. 

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Services said: "We were called to a two vehicle road traffic on Orchard Way, Ormesby at 11:10 this morning.

"We dispatched a community paramedic and a  double crewed ambulance. One patient was transported to James Cook Hospital and another made their own way to an emergency department."

The road was closed for around two hours whilst the emergency services attended the scene.

Traffic was heavy as people were advised to use alternative routes and avoid the area. 

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "It was a collision with no injuries, therefore we wouldn’t comment further. The road has just reopened."

The road has now reopened and traffic appears to be back to the normal levels.
