Sam Fender fans have been left fuming after reportedly being told they had "invalid codes" during pre-sale for his upcoming tour.

The North Shields musician today (Tuesday, October 22) launched the pre-sale for his 2024/25 People Watching Tour, which is set to kick off in December.

Pre-sale tickets went on sale at 10am this morning ahead - meaning those who had snapped up the Geordie star’s upcoming third album were able to get their hands on tickets ahead of the general release on Friday, October 25.

And while thousands were left overjoyed at grabbing tickets to see the Seventeen Going Under hitmaker, others were left angry after reportedly being told they had an “invalid code”.

Eager fans waited in anticipation from 10am to get the tickets - but many took to X, formerly Twitter, soon after when they failed to get them due to the code.

One person said: “Tried to get tickets for Sam Fender. Was in the queue from 9:25 and got to the front of the queue to be told code invalid and then a few tickets popped up, and then tried to get them ones and then yet again.. none available. You taking the mick?

Another said: “What a waste of time that presale was for Sam Fender. Wait half an hour to get through only to be told 'code invalid' not happy.”

One online user added: “Anyone else unable to use their presale code for Sam Fender? Waited 24 mins in the queue just to be told invalid code. Fuming.”

All of Sam’s new tour dates - including the likes of Leeds and Manchester - were included in the pre-sale on Tuesday, apart from the gig at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on December 20.

For the Toon concert, only fans with a select few North East postcodes were able to sign up to an exclusive ballot.

The ballot has since closed, and those lucky enough to be chosen will receive an email on Wednesday (October 23) before the ballot goes on sale on Thursday at 10am.
