Bishop Auckland Christmas Town is set to make a roaring return this year for the festive season - here is everything you need to know.

Over 35,000 people flocked to Bishop Auckland Market Place last year for the first-ever Christmas Town event. This year, it's back and bigger than ever.

A Ferris wheel, Santa's grotto, tasty food and drinks are just a few things on this year, guaranteeing a fun evening out for the whole family.

Ben Tinkler, Managing Director of Bridge Creative said: "Christmas Town offers such a magical experience for so many families and this year, it’s going to be even bigger and better!

"The event not only creates jobs for local disabled people but also gives a significant boost to the local economy, helping to put Bishop Auckland on the map!"

Thomas Wales, Managing Director of Baccanalia added:  "We’re thrilled to launch tickets for Christmas Town 2024 and are proud that this event remains possible due to true community effort.

"With the other fantastic winter events in and around the town such as AGLOW, Christmas at the Palace and Santa Express, I think we can confidently say we’re the Christmas Capital of the North!"
