A County Durham farmers market is thriving after getting ready to celebrate its first six months in the region and preparing for its debut Christmas event later this year.
The Middleton-in-Teesdale Farmers Market was created by organiser Naomi Katze in May this year as part of a monthly arrangement to run the event at the Mart Buildings on The Bank in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
In its first farmers market, Naomi welcomed over 30 traders and has since grown this number to between 40 and 50 in the months that have followed.
Boasting traders from Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Northumberland and County Durham, several of the businesses have been mainstays, while also welcoming new names and faces over the last six months.
The events are geared up towards food, the farm and the farmhouse kitchen, with stalls ranging from meat, cheese & milk to bread, fruit and veg, cakes and savoury bakes.
As attentions turn to the end of the year, the next Middleton-in-Teesdale Farmers Market is Saturday (October 26) between 9am and 1pm, before another event on November 23 and December 21 between 10am and 2pm.
Naomi said: "I'd like to say a personal thank you to everyone who has supported me in my new venture.

"They put their trust in me to deliver & put together a traditional Farmer's Market. I'm very grateful for the public's support for them coming and buying from all the wonderful traders every month.
"But also to the traders for being the best part of our fabulous Farmers Market, we can't do it without them."
The markets take place on the last Saturday of each month at Middleton Mart Buildings on The Bank in Middleton-in-Teesdale, DL12 0PG.
