Police who were called to investigate reports of a burglary in Darlington say they found a cannabis farm.
Multiple police vehicles and crime scene investigators were seen on Greenbank Road in Darlington on Friday (October 18) following reports of a burglary.
Investigators wearing forensic suits were pictured inside taking photographs following the incident at around 8am that day.
Police have now confirmed that during the probe they discovered a cannabis farm which has now been dismantled and plants have been seized.
The investigation continues.
A full police statement reads: "Police were called at around 8am on Friday (October 18) to reports of a burglary at an address on Greenbank Road, Darlington.
"Officers attended and located a cannabis grow inside. The electricity was made safe, and the plants were dismantled and seized.
"Enquires are now ongoing."
