One man has been arrested after a gun was fired through the window of house on a North East street.
At about 12.45am this morning (Saturday, October 219) police received a call after a property was damaged on Runswick Avenue in Stockton.
The damage is believed to have been caused by a firearm being discharged.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Uniformed officers have been carrying out investigations on the street all day, with careful examinations of the area being undertaken.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "A man aged 33 has been arrested on suspicion of firearms related offences. He currently remains in police custody whilst enquiries are continuing.

Anyone who may have information or anyone who may have witnessed a male on a motorbike in the vicinity of Runswick Avenue around 12:45am is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 200200.
