A school reportedly went into lockdown after reports of a weapon-wielding man on Teesside.
Officers were called to Low Grange Avenue, in Billingham, on Thursday (October 17) after receiving reports of a man in possession of a knife around 3pm.
Reports surfaced online that St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School, also located on Low Grange Avenue, was plunged into "lockdown" as a result, before children were allowed to return home.
It is understood that armed police were sent to the area.

Cleveland Police confirmed that officers were at the scene on Thursday trying to locate the man - however, The Northern Echo understands that no weapon was found and no arrests made.
The force previously said: "At 3pm on Thursday 17 October police were called to Low Grange Avenue in Billingham following reports of a man in possession of a knife.
"Officers are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate him."
