Three North East restaurants have won awards after being listed among the top 10 per cent worldwide.
The Northumberland Arms in Felton, The Blackbird in Ponteland, and Newcastle’s Lovage Jesmond, have each received a 2024 Travellers’ Choice Award from the global travel platform, Tripadvisor.
The award is given to establishments that have earned positive traveller reviews and ratings over the past year and have delivered "fantastic experiences to travellers around the globe."
Northumberland Arms is known for its food offerings, which include pub classics, street food, and sandwiches.
These are served in its restaurant or beer garden, which offers views across the River Coquet and a 16th-century bridge.

Multi-award-winning The Blackbird, one of the oldest inns in the North East, is a firm favourite with food enthusiasts, thanks to its dishes which combine creativity with classic flavour combinations.
Although Lovage Jesmond is relatively new to the restaurant scene, it has made a significant impact since it opened two years ago under the leadership of renowned chef and co-owner Kleo Tabaku.
Last year, it was included in the Michelin Guide and in summer, it was awarded a prestigious AA rosette for "culinary excellence."
Stuart Young of Northern Bar Management said: "So, this latest accolade in the form of a Travellers’ Choice Award, really is the icing on the cake.
"And that goes for The Northumberland Arms and The Blackbird as well.
"They each take great pride in serving the finest ingredients, confidently and creatively cooked and prepared - and these awards reflect just how much that matters to our customers.
"Being named in the top 10 per cent of restaurants worldwide is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work of our staff at each venue, who go above and beyond to ensure that our customer service is the best it can be."
Awards are based on visitors’ reviews, making them particularly valued by the establishments.
