A Teesside attraction has been named the best scare event in the country ahead of Halloween.
Redcar's Scream Factory was unveiled as top of the list of fright nights and scare events in the UK for 2024.
The research, conducted by Spin Genie UK, took into account factors including adult ticket prices, social media buzz, and online searches.
Scream Factory, situated at Kirkleatham Museum, came out on top with an overall score of 7.71 out of 10.
Event-goers can anticipate a thrilling night as they journey through various scare zones and immersive sets, each filled with spine-chilling scenarios.
The Scream Factory urges visitors to fully embrace the eerie atmosphere, promising an unforgettable evening of thrills and terror.
The popularity of the event is evident, having gathered an impressive 132,000 Instagram hashtags and over 50,000 annual searches.

Adult ticket prices fall between £27 and £32.
Coming in joint second place are Scare Kingdom in Blackburn and Thorpe Park Fright Nights in Surrey, each with a score of 7.29.
Scare Kingdom offers an adrenaline-fuelled night, ticketed at £24.79.
This event is great value for those seeking a spine-tingling adventure according to Spin Genie.
Thorpe Park Fright Nights, a renowned seasonal attraction, offers a combination of immersive scare mazes and themed areas.
Tickets are priced at £37, and the event has gathered over 5,000 Instagram hashtags and an impressive 221,680 annual Google searches.
In fourth place is Scare City in Chorley, scoring 7.08.
The list also includes Farmaggedon in Ormskirk, Dr. Fright's Halloween Nights in Northampton, and Scarefest at Alton Towers.
Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park in Wakefield, York Maze Hallowscream, and Spooky World in Warrington also made it into the top ten.
