Police have returned to the Ingleby Barwick home of poison plot doctor Thomas Kwan - just days ahead of his sentencing.
Specialist search teams wearing blue overalls and gloves were pictured at Kwan's mansion on Brading Court this morning (Tuesday, October 15) probing the garage.
Just last week, the now-disgraced Sunderland GP admitted to plotting to kill his mother’s long-term partner in an inheritance row.
"Money hungry" Kwan disguised himself as a community nurse and injected Patrick O'Hara with a flesh-eating toxin, under the guise of a Covid booster jab.
The 48-year-old initially denied attempted murder but then later changed his plea to guilty - and now he is set to be sentenced on Thursday, October 17.
Today, pictures from Brading Court have shown two Northumbria Police vehicles parked on the driveway outside the large property, as officers conduct searches of the garage.
They were seen taking several cardboard boxes from the garage, which was packed full of boxes itself as well as other items such as a lawnmower and wheelie bin.
Eyewitnesses say officers were pulling items out from the garage and searching through them.
This is the first time in months that police have been reported outside of the property, following the large-scale 999 operation back in February.
