Neighbourhood Wardens were first alerted of the below vehicle back in early February and despite trying to work with the registered keeper, he failed to remove the vehicle from public land.
Craig Eddy of an address in Burnopfield was prosecuted for abandoning a vehicle.
The vehicle was registered SORN, had no valid MOT or Insurance, had flat tyres, contained waste inside, was open to access and had been stationary for a long period.
The vehicle was recovered by Neighbourhood Wardens and later disposed of. Mr Eddy was initially issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice of £200, but he decided not to pay.
