A stretch of the A66 through Middlesbrough is set to be closed overnight for essential works.
The major route will be closed next week as part of Middlesbrough Council's "routine maintenance regime" which ensures the safety of the road network.
The closures will be between Newport Roundabout/Cannon Park Interchange and the A19 to allow for inspections of two footbridges and a sign gantry.
The eastbound will be fully closed on Monday, October 14, between 9pm and 6am, while the westbound will be fully closed the following day, also between 9pm and 6am.
The council said a fully signposted diversion route will be in place on both nights.

A spokesman said: “These inspections are part of our routine maintenance regime to ensure the safety of the strategic road network.
“Although some disruption is inevitable the work will be undertaken overnight to keep this to a minimum.
“As ever we are grateful to the travelling public for their patience and understanding, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
