A new care home in County Durham is set to create 100 jobs, aimed at providing vital support for adults living with complex needs in the community.

Laurel Place, under construction on Gudmensen Avenue, Bishop Auckland, is expected to open its doors early next year, bringing both employment opportunities while enhancing care services to the area.

The facility will cater to adults with various challenges, including mental health issues, dementia, and physical disabilities.

The design includes 32 spacious bedrooms, six single apartments, and communal living spaces aimed at fostering a supportive environment for residents.

This small group-living model promises to address individual needs more effectively than traditional settings.

Among the positions available are Registered Nurses, Senior Physiotherapist, and Catering Manager.
