Dramatic pictures show the result of a crash late last night - that saw an Audi driven through the front window of a home.
Between 12.30am and 1.30 am this morning, a four-door Audi smashed into the living room of a home on Brierton Lane, near Eskdale Road, in Hartlepool.
The impact has caused a great deal of damage to the property and the house next door, with debris left all over the housing estate.
Police officers remain on the scene, and pictures from the scene show the car is still inside of the property.
It is currently unknown if anyone was injured during the incident.

Cleveland Police have been contacted for more information on the incident - we will bring you an update from them as soon as possible.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called at 00.41 to an incident on Brierton Lane in Hartlepool.
"Two fire engines were in attendance from Hartlepool. A car has driven into the house. Fire Brigade on protective standby. We left the scene at 01.59."
