Drivers in and around County Durham will have 13 National Highways road closures to watch out for over the next two weeks.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A19, from 8pm September 13 to 6am October 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 northbound, B1320 Peterlee to A1086 Easington Interchange lane closure for electrical works.
• A1(M), from 8pm September 4 to 6am October 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 56 to junction 61, A66 westbound, Little Burdon, lane closures for installation of advance signage for area scheme.
• A1(M), from 6am October 3 to 6am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 60 to junction 61, lane closure for vehicle safety fence works.
• A19, from 8pm July 22 to 6am December 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A19 north and southbound, A182 Easington to B1320 Peterlee Interchange, temporary 50 mph speed limit.
• A19, from 8pm September 18 2023 to 5.30pm February 25 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A19 north and southbound, A182 Cold Hesledon Interchange, carriageway and lane closures for maintenance works.
And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A1(M), from 8pm October 11 to 6am October 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1(M) northbound and southbound, junction 58 to junction 59, Lane two closure for maintenance works.
• A66, from 8pm October 13 to 6am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 westbound, Old Spittal to Cumbrian Border, Lane closure with speed restriction for Renewal of weather station.
• A66, from 8am October 14 to 5pm October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Bowes to Cumbrian Border, diversion route with signage for GoFibre closure off network.
• A66, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound, Clint Bridge, lane closure for inspection work.
• A66, from 8am October 15 to 5pm October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Moorhouse Lane to Greta Bridge, diversion and signage for Go Fibre off network works.
• A66, from 8am to 5pm on October 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 westbound, Blue Cap Farm, Lane closure for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
