Trains delays expected after war time bomb found by rails near York

A possible unexploded wartime bomb in the Cross Gates area means all lines are blocked, with trains running through York and into the North East delayed by up to 45 minutes, revised or diverted via Castleford.

Disruption is expected until 6.45pm tonight (Wednesday, October 9).

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Castleford.
