Reports of a bomb near the train tracks have brought services running to the North East to a halt.

A possible unexploded wartime bomb in the Cross Gates area means all lines are blocked, with trains running through York and into the North East delayed by up to 45 minutes, revised or diverted via Castleford.

Disruption is expected until 6.45pm tonight (Wednesday, October 9).
