Darlignton Borough Council have highlighted the roads around the town for drivers to avoid due to flooding.
There are three areas which they are advising to avoid including a main A-Road into Darlington.
Signs are up warning drivers of flooding around the county and motorists should calculate in delays for increased traffic.
A Darlington Borough Council spokesperson said: "We will update this post with any road closures caused by flooding:
"The A68 West Auckland Road from the A1 to the cattle market (outbound).

"The A68 West Auckland Road inbound from the cattle market to Burtree Lane. Burtree Lane remains open.
"Staindrop Road, just after Edgecombe Drive, is closed as the beck has burst its banks.
"Signs have been placed at Ulbany Lane warning of the closure."
