More rain is expected today after persistent rainfall on Tuesday caused widespread flooding.

Forecasters predict another wet day with rain heaviest in coastal areas.

It will also become windy, again in areas closer to the coast, and cloud cover will dominate the skies.

Temperatures will reach highs of about 12C, the Met Office has said, with those feels like temperatures just slightly lower.

Tonight strong winds are expected with rain easing for most of us.

Into Thursday the Met Office believe it will be drier and brighter, although some isolated showers and lighter winds may still break through.

  • 3pm – 10C, heavy rain, feels like 7C
  • 4pm – 10C, heavy rain, feels like 6C
  • 5pm – 9C, heavy rain, feels like 6C
  • 6pm – 9C, heavy rain, feels like 5C
