A restaurant inside a North East department store has extended its stay at the location.
Restaurant Hjem at Fenwick Newcastle will now remain until December 31, 2024, due to increased demand for tables.
To celebrate, the restaurant is debuting its autumn menu, featuring a mix of new and returning dishes that have been popular since the restaurant's launch earlier this year.
Hjem was founded by husband-and-wife team Scandinavian-born Alex Nietosvuori and Northumbrian Ally Thompson-Nietosvuori.
The original Hjem restaurant can be found in the small village of Wall, within the popular pub, The Hadrian at Wall.
Fenwick executive chef Mark Reid said: "Having collaborated with Hjem over the summer, we mutually felt that with the upcoming festive period being all about family and community, extending the restaurant until the end of the year seemed the organic step to take.
"We can’t wait to show our guests, returning and new, all the exciting innovations that Alex, Ally and the team have in store.
"The Scandinavian influences blended with thoughtfully sourced ingredients from the North East are an experience, you’ll be hard pushed to find or be bettered, elsewhere."

Restaurant Hjem has introduced a £25 fixed-price Chef’s Express menu, a three-course option featuring seasonal ingredients.
The menu includes salmon gravlax, dill crème fraiche and pickled cucumber, flat iron steak with brown butter hollandaise, spicy fries and green salad, and a vegetarian express menu.
Hjem at Fenwick can be found on the first floor of Fenwick’s flagship store.
The restaurant offers a frequently changing tasting menu and an a la carte menu, with all dishes made using high-quality ingredients sourced from local Northumberland farms and gardens.
