Christine Kipling, the owner and runner of the charity Deliverance in Bishop Auckland has issued an appeal to find the owner of a cat rescued after it was hurt on the A68 near Spennymoor.

Christine told The Northern Echo: "He is not feral - so we are trying to find out who has been feeding him and letting him come inside but we just don't know.

"He is obviously had a great deal of human contact because he is extremely overweight. He has obviously been loved and is wanting to be loved but is just scared."

"I think if he saw his owner he would light up like a Christmas tree."

Now, Christine is on a mission to find out who owns Danny and is desperately trying to reunite him with his owners.
